The follow-up to their critically acclaimed DRAWN (seen at the Chocolate Factory in Fall '05), CRAM is a meeting place where individual performance works are sequenced and collaged. Each of these simultaneous solos (strewn throughout the factory's many spaces) uses everyday objects in surprising ways - through sculptural alterations, electronic sound, installation, and performative actions. Told on an epic scale through dreams, travel, memories and magic realism, Force is a trilogy of plays - Wanderlust, Threshold, and Convergence - which can be viewed independently or in succession. Force juxtaposes quiet details, breakable moments and subtle miracles with the fury of warfare and weather systems through a rapid succession of inter-related, profoundly intimate stories. In his dreamlike photographs (taken in darkened light), Delatolas visits the empty isolation of America's postindustrial landscape, hoping for a glimpse of hope in what is both a romantic darkness and a metaphor for losing one's way. |
