Live Sh-- is an intermittent after hours performance party situation occupying the basement and elevator shaft of the Chocolate Factory Theater in Long Island City. The event is organized or "curated" by Chase Granoff and Chris Peck. The party starts directly following the 8pm show, with performances beginning at 10pm. Three dollars for three live artists (complimentary admission for the audience of the upstairs show). Cheap Beer. "Old skool style" by DJ White Licorice. Live Sh-- is pronounced "Live Shhhhhhh," "Live Show," or "Live Shit" Peter Kerlin is a musician / sound artist living in Brooklyn. He played bass in the hOLY cHILDHOOOD, the Sumerians, and Ted Leo/Pharmacists. He currently plays the laptop with his band Christmas Decorations, the common recorder with Brooklyn Adult Recorder Choir, and all kinds of things for his solo project, Snake Eats Electric Blanket. He loves dance and has been collaborating with his wife, choreographer, Anna Sperber, for the past 4 years. Peter will perform a multi-channel audio "work in process" for Anna's latest piece which will debut at Dance Theater Workshop this spring. The members of Phantom Limb & Bison, psi, The Brothers Zoto, Wrasses, New Scalthzkgazan and the University of Northern Colorados Concert Band form the civil twilight band, DIRTY POOL. In denial of the American fallacy known as the forty-hour-work week, Dirty Pool has constructed its patriotic libretto from teaching themselves by word of mouth and walks in the field.
