*additional performance for young audiences, Saturday May 3 at 4PM.

A new sound/movement duet created and performed by Susan Hefner, choreographer/dancer, and Michael Evans, composer/percussionist. The piece shows an all-too-human relationship, noisy with discord, slapstick, confusion and accidental harmonies. The duet fragments, layers and phrases a mysterious world of the domestic mundane. Taking a fresh look at cutlery, tin cans, and vacuum cleaners, the artists extend their potential for sound, symbol and sculpture. Bags of garbage impede romance, and flushing toilets wash away the unspoken. Videotaped interludes illuminate the artists process, including absurd attempts and flaming failures.

The work is imaginative...bold and bitter...The message gets an A—Deborah Jowitt, The Village Voice
